“Where do the books and DVD’s go when I drop them in the book and Media drops”? With amplifications by Tinker Murphy, Principal Librarian

“Where do the books and DVD’s go when I drop them in the book and Media drops”? This is where they go… Wow. We lend and receive about 2,600 items per day. This is what the receiving end of the book drop looks like……We knew last Saturday was busy but it really hit home with the statistics. 2,040 charges and 1,254 discharges at Main Library alone--this is a transaction every 8 seconds aaaaaal daaaaay loooong! Thank you, Lending Services, and thank you to the rest of the Saturday staff who were so good at lending a hand as you went by.
Just wanted you to know that if you were tired at 5 o'clock, there was a definite reason! It was a record!
