Good bye Vida Lashgari, Creativity & “Do-It-Yourself” Librarian.

Congratulations, Vida, you have assumed many different responsibilities throughout the years: beginning as a part-time children’s librarian, transitioning to full time, then to Branch Library Assistant, and finally to Creativity & “Do-It-Yourself” Librarian.  Your creative spirit and great personality have made the Farmington Libraries better because of your work. And, now you are off to Boston to be with your new grandson, to do what you do best; taking care of others while guiding them to successes.

World Poetry-Day

The Farmington Libraries are celebrating World Poetry Day quietly; a day to thoughtfully speak softly. A day to remember “You Are Your Words”; where the gift of the poet lies in the careful parsing and painful restructuring of words, as each sentence is important.  Therefore, when you care enough about the person you are directly speaking with to realize how each thought must struggle to become a sentence, and each sentence presents a picture revealing your innermost thoughts and how you are perceived. Quality is therefore, the key to speech and language is the vent for intentionally soothing, rapturing or devastating others…

Teen Services Assistant Anna Boisvert was elected as 2016 Employee of the Year

Anna, is known for her can-do attitude and her greats skills in Both Teen and Maker Space arenas; where she spreads her enthusiasm for solving problems and creating amazing things throughout the community.
