The Farmington Libraries provide a source for longevity, happiness, and economic well-being

Nikolai Kopelev, Ph.D. reports that reading books, not only provides exciting engagement, but the Key to a better and longer life; where researchers report that reading lengthens life-span, economic well-being, family circumstances and mental health. Indeed, Yale epidemiologist, Becca R. Levy, reports” people who read books at least a half hour per day had significant survival advantage over those who did not read. I love to read; yet this data has me reading faster and more vigorously. Keep on reading.

Best, Jay
