Today, Thursday, February 18, 2010, the Farmington Libraries are participating in Snapshot Day: one day in the life of Connecticut Libraries. This Connecticut Library Association event is being held in every library in Connecticut and the collected data will be posted at http://snapshotctlib.wordpress.com. The Connecticut Library Association will use this information to inform our legislature and the Governor how libraries make a difference in peoples lives. If you can, please stop by and participate today.
The Barney Renovations and additions Interiors committee is a dedicated and committed working group finalizing the finishes, colors and furnishings for the Barney Project. I feel so fortunate to have these intelligent and committed members developing a schema and color palette for our project. Shown in working session, left to right: Nancy Nickerson, Anne Oberg, Holly Holden, A.S.I.D. , Norma Hartley and me. Not in photo: Hillary Donald AIA, Charbra Jestin.

Snowy days are always fun at the library.... Especially when parents and their children can have fun together.
