Jay Johnston welcomes Emily Platz

Farmington Libraries, Executive Director, Jay Johnston welcomes Emily Platz to Farmington.
Emily was selected from a national pool of over 30 candidates. The selection panel consisting of Farmington Libraries Hal Bright, Leader for Information Services, Veronica Ruzek, Dean of Students Farmington High School, and Christine Bradley, Executive Director of the Connecticut Library Consortium. The panel was very impressed with the enthusiasm, energy, intelligence, and knowledge Emily has and will bring to Farmington. She also brings a solid understanding of how to work with and motivate young people. I expect and look forward to great things coming through Emily's work as she progresses through her career here at Farmington.
