Emily Platz joins Farmington Libraries as Teen Librarian

Farmington Libraries, Executive Director, Jay Johnston is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Platz as the Teen Librarian. “I am supremely excited to have Emily join our team; she is intelligent, knowledgeable and well seasoned in the discipline of Teen programming. “ Ms Platz comes to us with successful Teen service experiences from her positions at the Columbus, Ohio, Metropolitan Libraries and the Grandview Heights Public Library where she has successfully established an effective and popular Teen program. “We have centered our efforts on the importance of winning over Farmington’s Teens in order to enrich their lives and assist them in the pursuit of knowledge, Emily is the right person to take us to the next level.” Johnston said. Ms Platz graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Art History, and Kent State University with the Master of Library Science degree. Emily will begin her duties here on September 28.
